About Sustainable Fuels
Ray Ryan set up Sustainable Fuels to promote the wood pellet industry. Some of the biggest problems in the past with wood pellet products was poor installations, over priced products (some still are), poor quality products, poor wood pellet quality and above all there was no technical support with advice & parts when a breakdown occurred. Ray is a trained Extraflame technician and has access to parts in the Extrafame range. He feels it is important that when the customer purchases a Extraflame product from him, that they have peace of mind knowing that they have technical support, should any problems arise and also have a supply of EN-Plus Brites wood pellets any time of the year.
Ray Ryan comes from a back ground in the construction industry, being an electrical contractor since 1995. In 2008 Ray deciding to extend the business into the renewable sector by becoming a qualified installer for Proven wind turbines (now owned by Kingspan) and installing his first 6KW turbine in spring 2009. In the same year received qualification in Biomass and installed his first Extraflame TP-30 wood pellet boiler which is running flawless still today.
In 2009 he obtained the OFTEC 600a - Oil Storage Tank Installation Course, Oftec 105E - Domestic/Light Oil Firing Installation, Oftec 101 - Domestic/Light Commercial Oil Firing Assessment Course, Oftec OFT 50 - Domestic Oil Firing Introduction Course. These courses are focused on Installing & commissioning oil boilers correctly, safely & that they run more efficiently. This lead to offering customer advice service on how to cut down energy consumption.
Advice & Design – consult on the most effective system for the customer’s requirements, size up all radiators, boiler and provide advice on their best locations.
Installations - old systems would be adjusted and new boiler and heating controls be installed.
Plumbing System problems solved - Systems that would not be correctly installed or broken down by other contractors would be adjusted and new systems correctly installed. Heating system problems solved, heating system restorers & inhibitors added.
Commissioning - when a new boiler is installed it has to be commissioned by an Oftec Engineer. When the plumber fixes all issues, proceed to commission the boiler and send all documentation to the customer and boiler manufacture for warranty purposes.
Servicing & Breakdowns - this was done with a flue gas analyser, which measured carbon dioxide (Co2), Carbon monoxide (Co), Carbon dioxide/carbon monoxide ratio, Xs air, flue gas temperature and efficiency and these readings were printed out and give to the customers. He also gives a 7 day Breakdown service.
Now with oil prices continuing to rise it is now time to look an Extraflame wood pellet stoves & boilers. Extraflame is the most competitive on the market. So why not call Sustainable Fuels today so we can discuss your requirements.

Northwestern Minnesota provides the perfect stage for discovering the future of fire through the development of advanced heating systems from Central Boiler. In the mid-1980s, Dennis Brazier founded Central Boiler in his hometown of Greenbush, located in northwestern Minnesota, a mere 20 miles from the Canadian border. In this small community, the workers are dedicated, the people are warm and the winter temperature can plummet to nearly 60 degrees below zero. Because of the weather conditions here, community members appreciate the need for reliable, yet efficient, heating systems such as the wood heating systems available from Central Boiler. Today, Greenbush is home to a variety of industries, ranging from manufacturing to farming. The community supports many civic organizations as well. Community members enjoy numerous recreational opportunities, including golfing, swimming, snowmobiling and stock car racing at the Greenbush Race Park. A Midwest tradition, especially in rural communities throughout this region, Greenbush is host to various annual celebrations such as the Greenbush 4th of July celebration.
